# Quickstart

You can use XYNQ in under a minute. There is nothing to install and nothing to sign.

### Step 1 — Open the terminal

Navigate to the XYNQ site. You'll see a short boot sequence, then a live input prompt:

```
xynq@invertbox:~$ ▍
```

### Step 2 — Ask anything

Type a question or task and press **Enter**. You're dropped straight into the chat view, and your first message is already being answered.

```
xynq@invertbox:~$ explain the Byzantine generals problem simply
```

### Step 3 — Keep the conversation going

Follow-up messages keep context within the session. The model remembers everything in the current chat — until you refresh.

### Step 4 — Switch models if you like

Use the model selector in the top-right of the chat to change which model answers. Your conversation continues with the newly selected model.

### Step 5 — (Optional) contribute compute

If you want to give back, head to **Run a Node** and turn your idle GPU into part of the network.

> **Tip:** There's a generous free daily message allowance per visitor. If you hit it, come back the next day — or contribute a node to help expand capacity for everyone.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.xynq.ai/quickstart.md?ask=<question>
```

The question should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
